Good evening.
I apologize in advance if my questions have been answered on the forum already.
1. Beeing a WoW-player I am used to certain things, on of them beeing that when I target and engage an enemy
I always have it hp bar visible so I know how close it is to dying and what debuffs that affect it.
I am always playing a ranger/slinger or other ranged class in Tome now, for it is the only class that automatically pops up the enemy tooltip when i attack. If there isn't one already that I missed, can an option be added so that melee also always can see the enemy hp/status?
2. I was trying to search the Tome4 wiki (http://te4.org/wiki/tome4) for bill the trolls loot table, to see if my archer should start by killing him or if he only drops things that interest melee characters. And I can not for the life of me find a SEARCH button or field. I have never before seen a wikipedia without a search function, can that be added for easier searches?
3. I know DarkGod has coded the game, but who designed the tome 4 character classes? Who is the Genius? Please apply to work for Blizzard or similar, and enclose all the classes you designed in your application. The synergy of the talent trees is amazing, the talents well-thought out. The class polish puts any other rpg I've played to shame, and Ive been playing computer games every day since 1981, so I dare say I've seen a lot.
A couple of requests.

Re: A couple of requests.
1. Melee classes can mouse over enemies just as well as anyone else. The reason the tooltip pops up 'automatically' for ranged classes is 'cause they're attacking via talents instead of just walking into the enemy. You can check between attacks freely, if you please.
It might be interesting to have that sort of thing (HP of last target attacked) displayed as a bar somewhere, but that might have some issues to be solved with AoE attacks. Still, you might want to port the suggestion over to the ideas subforum.
2. Nowadays (b15b, at least) Bill's drop list is randomized, but generally garunteed egos and a high chance of dropping his particular artifact. As a ranged character, you're going to want to kill him (and every other unique you can safely manage) for the XP if not the loot.
I have no idea about the wiki's search function or lack thereof. I still haven't even opened the page yet
3. So far as I know, the primary designer for the first class set was DG, with input from the community. A few of the current classes being tested are being primarily coded by non-DG folks, but again, there's a lot of heavy feedback going down. Check out the development and ideas subforums.
[selfish]Though, who or whom ever designed them, please don't try to make money from your talents. We want you here, making it for free

Re: A couple of requests.
Hey there.
Concerning 1), I think ToME4 is the first roguelike game I played with such a descriptive target tooltip, I remember my times in nethack or ToME2 where checking my foes took a rather long time, and deciding who to attack first took considerable meditation. For melee, and ranged fighters as well, just pressing 'l' (that's a not capital L) would show you your nearest target. I can't really imagine a constant tooltip showing your last or closest target, would probably be quite messy.
What could be developed is a more descriptive "Display creatures". I think this could get to the Ideas forum, I'll give it a thought.
In 15b it's highly recommended to get Bill (and all other uniques) for it's considerable XP and, if you didn't find one before, to get your first artifact. Besides uniques will mostly drop good loot.

Re: A couple of requests.
Bill used to be guaranteed to drop a two-handed club, the most useless thing you could ever imagine for 90% of characters. Now it's a 25% chance of that and 75% chance of something random, which is almost always an artifact, but could also be a high-end ego item.
There is a search box on the new web site, but it doesn't seem very good:

The wiki is somewhat sparse, still, but it's being filled in. You'll just have to click through it from the top.

Re: A couple of requests.
Wow, It took merely minutes and all my questions are now answered.
Not only is the game top quality, there is a forum community that matches it.
Many thanks!
