Missing the point.
He was talking about aiming at creature A, which is standing behind creature B.
No question about shot 1, it should hit B, which is in the way.
However, if B dies from that shot, shot 2 should hit A.
Apparently it does not.

Re: Slingers
The point is that the way Multishot is implemented, it is like you fire a single bolt which will deal damage multiple times on a target and will subtract that much ammos from your quiver. You do not project multiple shots.
And IMO the way it is is just realistic: you fire n simultaneous shots which will all hit a given target; if some of them is going to hit an already dead body, they will obviously be wasted. A good analogy would be Flurry; if you kill your target with the first two hits, you cannot use the remaining four hits to attack another adjacent target, you are just tormenting a cadaver.

Bad analogy, since you aimed at that future cadaver in the first placeFeanor.81 wrote: A good analogy would be Flurry; if you kill your target with the first two hits, you cannot use the remaining four hits to attack another adjacent target, you are just tormenting a cadaver.

Re: Slingers
Well, it's just because Flurry can only target adjacent enemies; if it had a range of 2, you could reproduce the very same behavior of Multishot

Re: Slingers
I like the idea of turning multi-shot into a true multi-projectile talent. One possibility would be to have a "ball" target, and then a projectile is created aimed at each enemy within that ball. The projectiles may not hit all of the targets, particularly if they are stacked in a line, but I don't see a problem with that. Thoughts?
<DarkGod> lets say it's intended
Re: Slingers
Depends on what the intent of Multi-shot is. Slingers intentionally have better cc, but worse AoE, than Archers. If you turn Multi-shot into an AoE, then it becomes a semi-clone of volley while Slingers lose a good single target nuke. Unless someone wants to make a case that Multi-shot is something Slingers will simply never take or use, I say it should stay as it is.

If the newly made corpse instantly disappears. I figure the shots are hitting pretty much simultaneously. No question about shot 1, it should hit B, which is in the way.
