How to get Cauterize prodigy at level 25
I'm not sure if there is an answer somewhere on the forum, I tried to search, but couldn't find. The thing is I find it difficult to receive 7500 fire damages in T1 and T2 dungeons (for normal difficulty at least). Even on a doombringer, and I try to use fearscape shift and fearscape as much as I could (though I don't think fearscape is a talent supposed to be used a lot in the first 25 levels of gameplay), I just don't seem to be able to get the prodigy by level 25. And for many other classes that don't involve self-inflicted fire damaging talents, there are only three or four types of fire flinging foes in T1 and T2 dungeons, each gives you a 3 to 5 turns of fire burn with total most likely less than 50 fire damages. So should I just find one of those and standing there keep taking those damages without killing it till I get the prodigy? Or is there other methods that I missed?

Hmmm...how about taking a lava bath?
Mark of the Spellblaze would be one obvious location for this - Daikara (alternate layout) would be another.

To obtain the Cauterize prodigy at level 25, players can stand in lava in areas like Iron Council or Daerth while healing, or repeatedly use items that inflict fire damage on hit.

Really appreciate replies from both of you! I totally forgot about lava floor is because most of the lava floors don't do anything to you except providing the standard environment effect buff. Seems only the lava floors in Mark of the Spellblaze do burn you, but the damage is also only less than 20 point per turn (for a 20 level character in normal difficulty at least) from what I see. What really troubles me is that the amount of damage a player has received is not tracked by the Achievements, so I have no idea how far away I'm from reaching this 7500 damaged while I'm doing this self hurting grinding. Isn't this game designed to avoid grinding?EdrinSilvercrest wrote: ↑Fri Jan 16, 2026 7:41 am To obtain the Cauterize prodigy at level 25, players can stand in lava in areas like Iron Council or Daerth while healing, or repeatedly use items that inflict fire damage on hit.
BTW, I also have trouble to figure out how to get Corrupted Shell prodigy by level 25 by the same token. The blighted soils don't do any damage it seems, and it's probably a bit risky to play with blight damage flinging foes too much. Do you guys have any suggestion how to receive 7500 blight damage by level 25. Again, I refer to a normal difficulty game, under which going through Mark of the Spellblaze (which is basically another requirement for this prodigy) alone is probably not enough to receive that much blight damage, and I don't want to tackle Dark Crypt before I get my first prodigy.
