suddenly Mana Clash won't remove sustains

#1 Post by jdisk »

Hello,

I have run into a strange problem:
For an antimagic adept, Mana Clash should also remove up to 4 magical sustains. In the description of the talent, this is only displayed for those (at least that is how I read https://git.net-core.org/tome/t-engine4 ... c.lua#L180).

Now, Oozemancers are always antimagic adepts. And e.g. it worked for my last Oozemancer Winner and is also displayed in the talent description. (https://te4.org/characters/130607/tome/ ... 40904225cf )

But for some strange reason, for new Oozemancers that doesn't work: Mana Clash doesn't remove magical sustains and the description doesn't display that part. (first seen on https://te4.org/characters/130607/tome/ ... 871c22f8d2)
I tried turning off all addons, (temporarily) deleting first the saves folder and then the whole T-Engine folder, even downloading the whole game from the website (original is steam). Nothing helps; whenever I create a new Oozemancer, they don't display the remove magical sustains part.

Any ideas?

"Antimagic Adept" is not just a term for someone who uses antimagic. "Antimagic Adept" is the name of a passive talent acquired from Protector Myssil as the reward from the "Storming the city" quest (kill Urkis), at the same time that you get the Fungus talent tree. Antimagic Adept improves Mana Clash to remove magical sustains. It is intentional that Mana Clash does not remove magical sustains by default. So it's not a bug.

OK, my mistake. Somehow I thought you got it when going antimagic. Well, of to kill Urkis then.

Thank you.
