Grrr.
My third alchemist in a row and I play a rogue.
How much do the spellsave +4 really help?
What are they good for?

Re: Spell save
Saves, you need large amounts of them for them to be helpful. And even then they aren't reliable.
Your save is checked vs an attackers physical/spell/mental power. Similar to how your defense is checked vs an opponents accuracy. If your save is lower, you have only a small chance to resist the status effect and most likely won't. If your save is significantly higher, you have a decent chance to resist the effect or at least reduce the duration of it.
I don't know what the percentages are, what the algorithim is. Just know that more is better and even with high saves it's not a reliable defense against negative statuses, making gear and skills that grant immunity % or remove negative statuses much more important. Only go for gear with saves if it is a significant upgrade over your current equipment.

"You could skip it, i think it drops 0 xp and 1 copper [at most], you are better off selling oxygen to beggars to become rich."
