Do old save files let unlock class/race achievements ?

Hi, I had a Temporal Warden going quite far in 1.3.1, but stopped to play for whatever reason. I started to unlock lot of classes/races, and I'd like him to finish the job.
When loading games I see the box "old version" to tick. I find there my Temporal Warden save. If I want to load it, a popup explains to me that I can try to load this game with the current version (I am pretty sure it won't work fine, do you confirm ? An old remambrance of DrakGod announcement saying it won't work...). Or I can download the old 1.3.1 package to play in the historic version. My question is : if I do so, will I still be able to unlock the remaining classes and races in 1.3.1 ?
If not I think I won't continue and start another character.

The game doesn't care much about how you complete an unlock.
So it should work fine.
