I've just started to play ToME4; its my 1st time when I tried this game, first impressions:

MMO-expert MMORPGs are part of my life for almost 20 years At the same moment, I'm big fun of roguelike genre; my 1st game actually was a NetHack in the beginning of 90's %)

musician rock band leader, guitar teacher, casual dj (electroclash, dark d'n'b)
ecologist PhD %) I work at university as a soil scientist (computer science stuff)
web designer I'm developing websites and also work as graphical designer
writer I'm in long process of creating my own fantasy world. Writing it for a long years already %)
videoartist recently I started to film TV series - GirlGamer %) We filmed 2 episodes yet

And finally I'm founder of Russian streamers community – Stream Guild.

Also I like sport (a lot of types: from karate to hiking), I do not drink alchohol (mad Russian!?), I enjoy cooking, I'm interested in history and politics, I like to draw (but not really good at it yet), I enjoy making photos (got instagram "igroglaz"). One of my dreams is to learn how to sew. I wanna make cloth for my self and my friends

Gals&guys, please could you explain me how this guy killed me so ezpz? He was suppressing magic it seems... How to survive in such situation? Did I had any options to survive? Would you survive with such character if you would be at my place?

Did you remove your list of debuffs from the UI by mistake? I couldn't see how long Slow was on you for.

As you've just found out, overworld encounters can be extremely dangerous. It's effectively like fighting three rares at once, and they can randomly have very nasty talents that will ruin your day.

As a result, I like to skip overworld encounters immediately. In general, you need to be able to run from an encounter that goes nasty, such as a strong unique or rare in a dungeon. What are your escape options? I like to use a Movement Infusion, Rush and an item that activates for movement or global speed, so even if one of the 3 is on cooldown I still have 2 remaining to escape. I think you'd be served well by trying out Movement Infusions yourself. They are extremely strong, for repositioning, closing to melee and running away. Plus, for 5-7 turns after using a Movement Infusion, you are immune to some status effects like stunning, so it can be an effective fight starter.

(I also find Regeneration Infusions better in general than Healing Infusions, though of course if you find good Healing Infusions and no good Regeneration Infusions you can use them while waiting. It's also worth looking into Shielding Runes if you're a magical class and can interact usefully with them. Also, Shields are improved by your healing mod +%!)

Also, it's recommended that you keep your starting Wild Infusion rather than replacing it. Why? 1, it has a cooldown of 12, the lowest it can ever be. 2, it removes physical effects, which are both more ubiquitous and more dangerous. Physical effects include slow, stun, disarm, pin, ice block, daze, etc. If you had a physical wild infusion rather than a magical one, you would have been able to clear the Slow from your body and escape. Also, you can later find ways to remove magical effects. One way is by using the Disperse Magic effect of a set of gloves of dispersion, or you can just learn the talent outright if you're one of the classes that gets the Meta category.
