This addon makes it so upgrading the multiplier of a category costs 1/2 of a category point, so you can do two for a point instead of just one.
I don't think I've EVER seen a guide recommend spending a category point on upgrading a multiplier (rather than inscriptions or unlocking something new). Let's make it an interesting choice rather than a nobrainer never-do.

Re: Integrate 'Half-Cost Category Mastery' into ToME4?
This should likely have been posted to the Ideas Board, but it seems like a good idea:
Most guides never recommend investing category points into upgrading category mastery levels because it is almost always universally better to invest a category point into either an Inscription Slot or to unlocking another category. If you are investing a category point into a category, it is because you don't have anymore Inscription Slots of Categories to unlock.
Alternative idea though: I'd prefer not to see any half-points - so it might make sense to simply multiply things by 2 for this idea. Maybe make it so that upgrading category master levels takes 1 category point, unlocking a category or inscription slot would take 2 category points. Possibly work out from there to make it so that category points could be fleshed out to do much more with investment. For example: first inscription slot unlock takes 1 category point while the second inscription slot unlock take 2 category points. Another example: Investing in Generic Category Mastery costs 1 category point while investing in Class Category Mastery takes 2.

Its amazing what the mind can come up with, but it shows talent to make something of it. - Davion Fuxa

Agreed, it'd let you do interesting stuff like boosting Shadows and Cursed Aura on Doomed or Bone and whatever on Corruptor.
My wiki page, which contains a guide and resource compilation and class tier list.

Alternatively - increase cat point talent level bonus from 0.30 to 0.60 ^^

I like the idea. There is the cool option to boost a category but with the exception of Doomed for the extra shadow, it's always a sub optimal choice outside of very specific builds.
It could also work to have category points that can only be applied to upgrading categories. I don't think that would be a game breaking power increase.
