Save lost ... ?

#1 Post by bsquare »

Hi everyone,

To begin, I'm very thanksful to the author of this game which is very entertaining.

I was playing a Dwarf till level 12, and then I just wanted to try the arena mode ... and I selected "load premade characters", and such a way, TOME took the same player name ...
I died in very few minutes in Arena, and quit (something to do IRL) ... coming back to the game, my real Dwarf save was unfoundable !
When I'm loading save with the corresponding name, TOME loads the save with the dead level 1 character ...

Please ... tell me there is a way to get back my previous save and keep on enjoying the game with my character ?!

Thanks.

Saves are stored by character name. Running a different character with the same name overwrites the previous save. Unfortunately, your dwarf is gone. This was why you were asked if you wanted to overwrite (or you should've been, anyway).

I'm 100% sure I haven't been asked to confirm to override my character.

I just tried with a new character, and I confirm you the issue.

Modus operandi:
- create a new character
- do domething (and affect some talents points)
- save
- create a new game
- select "load premade" and select the same character
- save and return to main menu ...
- load the last save of the character by his name
-> the first character has been overriden silently

Sorry about the quality. Didn't feel like dealing with a screenshot so I took a literal screen shot.
