Account issues, dummy me!

OK, I had a long break from ToME, but decided to come back, when I saw the new patch out. I had a few problems starting the game when I downlaoded the latest patch, so I uninstalled and downloaded the game anew altogether.

However, on my previous client, I had myself logged on with my account "kravarnik." However, this new one had me logging on my account again, which I had forgotten the password. So, I tried the usual paswords I use, but with no success. Then, I decided to send a new passowrd to my email, which I don't even remember(I have quite a few alternate emails, so I thought it would be in any of theM), but I checked them, and the new password wasn't there. So, I assume I probably associated the account with an email I no longer use, or is deactivated, and I just remembered that my game account's password was the same as the one on the forums(the one I'm posting from now).

Anyhow, I ask the admins, if there's any procedure for me to prove my identity in some way(I can give you my previous password, if needed, for instance) and my account to be restored to its previous password? I'm asking, since on my account I've beaten the game three times, have all classes and races unlocked, prior to the new patch, and I don't really feel like starting all over again.


So, is there a chance for me? Thank you for your attention. I hope this will be resolved.

yeah... i wrote it before a few times, but might as well again.

same happened to me, except it didn't auto login.
i couldn't login so i decided to get the password, but since it was the time of "the great breakdown" things were weired.
then later i tryed a few more times, and it either said it send and i never recieved, or when i tryed to create a new account with the same email its said its taken...

also, i do not know who is at fault but when try to open the wiki or the main page (although, this forum is unaffected), this shows up

on one side, its ONLY those sites that are having problem, on another its only happening if i use firefox. internet explorer loads it fine.
it started around the same time "something" happened this weak, and i have not heard anyone else having problem, but might as well put it there. if its not on your side, maybe someone has an idea how to fix it on my end.

darkgod, I don't want to insist, nor come off as strongly insisting, but is this issue coming to a resolution any time soon? I'm asking, becuase the classes I enjoy playing the most - the ones with psi blades, for example, as well as the paradox mage, which is reworked now - are rather hard to unlock, especially given that I'm now used to playing nightmare difficulty, and would have to downgrade to normal, so that I manage to unlock them. But it would still take time.

I wish to know this, so that I may start working towards unlocking the classes and races again(the first time, when I was a newbie, it took me about a year or so, to unlock them, and almost as much to beat the game). I feel like playing the game, but since I don't enjoy the generic classes, I don't know what to do - to wait for your decision, or to get on unlocking the ones I enjoy. Giving me an answer will really shed some light.

You can manually unlock the unlocks via the allow_build.profile file in your user data.

then whats the word for it? i tryed using wildfire, i ptryed pyromancer, and it doesn't unlock the tree.
although, putting pyromancer in there does not invalidate the file...
i may try again later

Thanks for the suggestion, guys, but I know little to nothing about modding. I mean, I can't even find the file you're telling I have to mod, to begin with

Perhaps, it'd take me a bit of effort to get this done, but I'd like to be playing online, since the general chat is a great source for different build ideas and I often enjoy reading it, and even ask for some needed information on something.

And, as far as I remember, I cannot mod my online account(if I made a new one) to include all the classes, but can only do so offline, right?

if you find the file, the patter in it is rather simple to understand.
so when you know where, insert the above bit wherever you fill like it wouldn't disturb the pattern

Stuntofthelitter, I did try that(message him through the "Contact" on the main page), but no response so far. And this is getting a bit tiresome. As I really believed the issue would have been resolved a bit quicker than this. I've been playing the game offline, with the addon which unlocks the classes/races, but it is no fun to play offline. Especially, due to the reasons I've mentioned above in one of my previous posts.

I understand that it might be a bit difficult to identify with certainty whether I'm the real owner of the account, but taking that long does not seem normal. Given that he has to read an email with 4-5 sentences of information which will help him establish my rightful ownership. Or, perhaps, he's too busy? Or, by a slight chance, oblivious?

Either way, players are on the receiving end of it and does not speak well for the support team. Or darkgod, if he's the only one doing the supporting. Definitely unpleasant.
