Registering my game as donator so i dont have to be online

#1 Post by Aster »

Is there a way to register the game once and for all so that the donator feature dont get disable as soon as i log off the internet?

I dont have regular internet access right now, i want to try some mods but im waiting for some way to register the game without having to be logged on and it seems like there isnt one?

Any help would be appreciated as I only have access till monday to fix this

I would especially like to be able to use the vault offline as one of the fun things i look forward to doing with the game is farm a bit of starter gear for say, an archer i wanna start later on or like get a nice staff, vault it to start a caster next game

thanks

Unfortunately, the item vault is by nature an online service (storage is on the te4 website servers or somesuch), so you cannot access it offline, even if you could register for donation features.
The other features only matter at character creation, so you can get around that relatively easily.

Aster, you can check the GOG version of ToME: http://www.gog.com/game/tales_of_majeyal

DarkGod has done some serious magic by popular request of the GOG players and made the vault offline for them.

That blows, really pumped myself up to be able to play and drop some gear for whatever alt id be playing next, sorta killed my motivation to play the game

If i never knew the feature was in, probably wouldnt care but holding off for days, not playing till i figured out how to make the vault work is a big bummer

Dont really have money to drop right now to buy the GOG version of the game

Oh well

You really don't need the item vault. You can't even get any benefit from it until you are a moderately experienced player.

Not sure why you are waiting before trying some mods.

I dont really understand your comment. How is that not useful. You drop gear for your next alt in the vault, correct? Doing that in other games like torchlight 2 is very useful, and fun.

I was waiting also because i didnt know how to unlock exploration mode without being online, which apparently i cant.

Sort of mildly annoyed, feels like DRM...

Its not overly useful because you get lots of great loot anyway, and you need to get about a 20% through the game before you can recover the stored loot.
