Re: Betatest 1.3: beta5 is up!
Writ Large is RIDICULOUS. Why would anyone take Cornac at this point?
Re: Betatest 1.3: beta5 is up!
Out of curiosity, you take Cornac just to get an extra inscription slot..?
<shesh> cursed is fine
Re: Betatest 1.3: beta5 is up!
I think that the majority of Insane/Madness players go for five inscriptions. Archmage is a bit of an odd case because it has so many useful locked trees.
Of course, most of the time they go Shalore, but Cornac is a pretty popular choice as well.
(Yes, I recognize the irony of me lecturing you about Madness)

It also takes a minimum of 8 generics for that "free" inscription, and you don't get access to it until 28 (where cornac get their advantage showing much earlier).Parcae2 wrote:Writ Large is RIDICULOUS. Why would anyone take Cornac at this point?
I'm not saying it's not strong, but I don't think it will completely replace cornac, especially on insane/madness where the t2 spike (level 20ish on insane, don't remember on madness) is one of the hardest parts of the game.
Re: Betatest 1.3: beta5 is up!
Necro would have only three as well, if it's possible to complete on madness.Parcae2 wrote:I think that the majority of Insane/Madness players go for five inscriptions. Sorry for the OT but I always home in when the madness discussion starts lol.
Re: Betatest 1.3: beta5 is up!
Are there some specific things needing testing? I am all for beta testing but I hate going in blind and finding out there is really nothing I can do to test stuff because all the things I am prone to do are already pretty smoothed out. (cf my TW adventure.)
Re: Betatest 1.3: beta5 is up!
Should we be reporting bugs that were already reported in previous betas? I have no idea if that's helpful or just annoying.

Yeah, some stuff got lost or improperly fixed, so that's always helpful.donkatsu wrote:Should we be reporting bugs that were already reported in previous betas? I have no idea if that's helpful or just annoying.

Re: Betatest 1.3: beta5 is up!
I'm not sure it's even a bug but, one of my TW temporal clone created through the Warden's Call passive used the Mind Blast and Shadow Simulacrum talents thus creating a (confused) shadow copy of an rare mob. Those talents aren't really something I expected chronomancers to have.
ALso, I'm not sure this one is a bug too but according to combat log, the first turn any clones created through warden's call is spent disabling contingency. I'm not sure it uses up one of their turn doing so though, but it does tend to spam the log a little.

Re: Betatest 1.3: beta5 is up!
Let's say I want to test Ogres - do they start out unlocked? Or would it be better to test something else?
(I guess I could always use developer mode)

Ogres do not start unlocked. Beta testing the unlock procedure itself is something that should be done too after all :p
Another TW bug : Arrow Echoes can still be used while disarmed. It'll them switch to a melee weapon before targeting. Then when you try using it, it'll complain you need a bow or sling equipped.

Re: Betatest 1.3: beta5 is up!
Maybe it was disarmed and hit with gloves? I'm giving them better logic anyway. I'll look at contingency and the arrow echoes disarm bug too. Thanks for reportingMordy wrote:I'm not sure it's even a bug but, one of my TW temporal clone created through the Warden's Call passive used the Mind Blast and Shadow Simulacrum talents thus creating a (confused) shadow copy of an rare mob. *edit* Trying to figure out how to fix the log spam.
