Vile life: blood splash

Vile life: blood splash
http://te4.org/wiki/Blood_splash_%28talent%29
this talent, does not seem too impressive. Obvious observation, is that the more you kill or crit, the more healing you get.
but even so you don't seem to get much out of it.
also, if you compare it to its alternative, "waters of life", while it is not a pasive, it gives WAY more health when used and reversing any further dammage from the poisons or diseases.

i think it would make sense, it this talent also scaled with the max health you have.
it would mean that more healthy characters, who don't kill or crit as much as rogues, would get more health at a time, which would balance out.

but i am not posting this in "ideas" section, because it also looks like a case of "if" rather than "how".

so, what do you think.
do you agree that this talent is underpowered and you would only get it for elemental discord(or latter)?
or do you think that this talent is fine and valid as it is right now?

Blood Splash works when you're not poisoned. You have to build for it a bit, but it's in a locked tree that you have to go out of your way to get. Why would you even have it if you're not crit focused? On a crit focused build it's 25-50 regen. By the time you get it you should have a 50% crit rate on a crit build on normal (higher at higher difficulties because the loot is better). You max it ASAP for 50-ish per proc. It has a once per round proc limit.

Gloves and axes will crit more from extra accuracy and can easily hit 100% against most foes if you build for crits and accuracy. Melee mindstar users roll to crit twice a round. Shield users roll to crit 2-3 times when they use shield talents and most have access to on-hit procs that can also crit (GWF for the brawler, arcane combat for the arcane blade, and shield of light for the sun paladin) and can wield an axe in their main hand that will crit most of the time on bump attacks. Anorthil have a crit booster and several spells that roll to crit twice and/or roll to crit but don't take an action to cast.

The casters other than anorthil may wind up with a "mere" 25 regen from the talent, but any melee build is going to get an effective 40-50 if it tries. Only for summoners is it unambiguously bad for all normal builds.

"Why would you even have it if you're not crit focused?"
undead can't use nature talents, and the second talent in the vile life (elemental discord) tree seems nice.

aside from that, you made a point.

Blood Splash is awesome. With 5 points it is basically 100 life per turn when in combat.

I would assume it's affected by heal mod as well, but I haven't verified that.
