Where is King Tolkar?

So King Toknor and Queen Minerva had a baby, and his name was Tolkar. Fantastic, now we have our own William the Conqueror. (People who have basic grounding in English history, feel free to point out how horribly wrong that is, since I personally suck at it.) It even says in the little intro blurb to ToME that Tolkar is currently ruling Eyal.

Which begs the question... Where the - is he? He's not so much as mentioned. Our authority figure is an elder of Last Hope, not a king, and you would think a king would get involved with a "hero" who manages to slay multiple dangerous necromancers, clear out dangerous wildlife, recover lost and valuable artifacts, wipe out an insanely powerful advance force from another continent (before you come back, the highest level thing in Eyal is maybe 35. Ambush is in the upper 40s, bare minimum) and after that, wipe out the entire army that sent that force, as well as causing a portal to an entire lost continent to be made. And yet the king stays out of all of it.

I don't think it's too much to ask that we get some recognition. I don't need a noble title or tracts of land, but just a "Great job there, citizen!" would be appreciated. Or, if he recognizes the bloodbaths as not strictly neccessarry and primarily for amusement, guards coming to imprison me so I can mock them, kill them, then hunt down their king and claim the throne for myself. (Okay, maybe just a thank you, since the lumberjacks do it even if you kill some of them.)
