super sight

it is something that i noticed earlier, but ignored then.
now, something dropped 14light lite, which combined with +6 on my chant gives me 18 total lite range (2 disappeared somewhere)

after adding an amulet with +2 on it, i got 20 total lite range (so it was not cap...).
and guess what, my lite rang is now my sight range, so i can see enemies 18 tile away...
if i could stack radiance with it (which i know i cant [unless bug]), it wold... well, how often do you have stright 20 tile long corridor?

was that intentional? hard to believe

the character is a ghoul sun pal, created in 1.2.2, and transferred onto 1.2.5

what do you people think about it?

Maybe you should check for spider infestation in your backpack?
was that intentional? hard to believe
Not intentional, but it is the way it works at the moment: lite radius supercede vision range. Since it's neither a critical bug nor a bug people complain much about...

i didnt get it at first,(i have no mods)
but yes, i do have the sack of spiders. I forgot it lower the light

on a side note, the auto explore "sopped because enemy was spotted" seems to work when enemy spot you, not when you spot him... which means that if you auto explore all the time, the stupidly far sight means nothing.

Unless you explore manually and have effective ranges beyond 10...

If you have true sight radius greater than 10, it will stop at your sight radius instead.

I had a Brawler who found a +4 sight radius helm in the prides and proceeded to equip it, then got enormously frustrated because every time I hit Z I'd run around and stop 14 squares away from an enemy, then have to just run up manually because I had basically no ranged abilities.

I told myself "I'll be smart! I'll use the fact that I can see enemies before they see me to my advantage!" and then proceeded to charge face first at them every time then on. (And it worked. Brawlers are crazy strong.)
