Your most hated enemy ?

Granted, there are some combos which are damn near unkillable for some classes, and some combos which are damn near unkillable regardless, but my single greatest enemy so far has been the Alternate Old Forest (Crystal Forest) boss. I can't remember the name off the top of my head, but simply put, I've never been able to kill him with any class so far. Melee classes can't get to him with all his lockdown abilities and he out nuked all my ranged classes.

Granted, I haven't fought him THAT much, but still.

That would be Shardskin. Dunno which versions you've played but the bugger got nerfed a lot a few versions back.
Now he's almost like regular maze boss, a laughing stock.

Voratun Amulet - Plain ones are about the rarest item in the game.

Also hate whoever is giving out sun/insidious infusions to every other enemy in the game.

random boss archers, they do ridiculous single target damage, just recently a random rare orc fighter archer took 3/4 of health of my oozemancer in 1 shot in an orc patrol ambush
oh and if it's something like eternal bone giant archer...

oozemancer bosses aren't bad, may be because i usually play ranged classes with some aoe, actually i cannot remember a single scary oozemancer boss, cursed bosses are way worse, necromancers may be scary too sometimes, if they are lucky with hexes, solipsists may be scary too

i have never had serious problems with orc assassins for some reason

The worst time for a Luminous Horror would probably be as a Sun Paladin, though. I've heard they have it bad against them.

Or a Wildfire Archmage...

archmages usually have no serious problems with them, regardless of specialization, you can always kill them with mana thrust + lightning bolt, 3 beams are core anyway

Not sure what they are called but they are giant demons wielding two hammers and are on fire, there is a weaker version that isn't half as bad.

my most hated that is still Skeleton Mages not that they kill me all the time but because they are deathly in the early level when you open vaults. Khor'pul springs to my mind.
Middle game it is Cultis and and Corrupters. Late games anything with a Rare only concelation is that the rewards are well earned as I am fairly new to this game I have not much of any expirience yet by the many unknown horrors out there that can kill but time will proberly solve that

Not sure what they are called but they are giant demons wielding two hammers and are on fire, there is a weaker version that isn't half as bad.

Forge giants fit this description. They have only a few skills but all of them are deadly

Middle game it is Cultis and and Corrupters. Late games anything with a Rare only concelation is that the rewards are well earned as I am fairly new to this game I have not much of any expirience yet by the many unknown horrors out there that can kill but time will proberly solve that

so I have notice the are very deathly sometimes using a one shoot spell that kills my char outright (was a 31 level Cormac cursed if I remeber ). when i open a vault at floor 8 in Dreadfell 4 Skeleton mages one attack and killed ouch so much for my last life that time. Vengence is ploted to get him next time

my most embarresing death where I bash a poison Ivy only to realise that I had 9 hp left dumb very dumb... first time playing Roguelike last tiem I have so far

maybe not enemy, but i sometimes really hate my own alchemic golem/drolem. He try to be nice, but he will "accidentally" shot at you with his eye beam or use his poison breath to annihilate you when you are low on hp.

And when you are in iceblock he will try to "rescue you" be destroying ice, and probably kill you too, because boss will shot another spells at you.

Those are a colossal joke compared to Skeleton Archers in undead starter dungeon on nightmare. Ever tried getting a ghoul cursed out of there...

Also, although I've never felt particularly intimidated by him, Annoyanceling Beast never ceases to amaze me by coming up with innovative ways to cause me misery. A while ago I was running a Skellie Arcane Blade on NM, waltzing through T2 dungeons, when this MF bone grabs me in front of my own Earthen Missiles. Instakill.
Though, now that I think about it, he's threat level would probably skyrocket if it wasn't for stair-abuse, which was the only reason I was shooting missiles at him in the first place instead of shield-bashing him senseless.

Some of my memorable fights include Sun Paladin against unique RADIANT horror. My god that was terrible. I had no damage dealing aside from assaults, which I kept trying to get counterstrikes for, and kept failing. My healing was perfect, Providence prevented anything nasty from happening, Barrier was maxed, I was invulnerable. He was too, I think he drew anorithil as a class or something.
Opening the farportal room into a oozing or luminous horror can be hilarious.
For standard enemies Worm that walks, oozing horror, luminous horror, radiant horror, stuff that fearscapes a non-dispersion character, diseases/blight, sand-drakes, ghosts of various kinds, nagas in some cases.
My least favorite standard boss is probably alt-maze. Same goes for dungeon. Lake of Nur is close, though.

the most annoying.
1) unique ooze (the antymagic monster that appear under the lake of Noor, nur?)
2) dreaming horror (This guy is about impossible to kill as far as i know.)
3) luminous horror (maybe don't deal much damage, but neither do you... can't one shot him? REGEN INFUSION)
4) boss of the ancient elven ruins (as above, difficult to kill)

the most ENRAGING.
1) the skeleton warrior (and now I just... I am stunned.)
2) temporal elemental (have you ever teleported 5 times ina single turn?)
3) anything in heart of gloom (every time you kill something, you are pinned for 5 turns)
4) hmm what would deserve being listed here...

I don't care much about once that one shot me, (I guess it was my mistake for not expecting them)
but the once that refuse to die no matter what you have, are the worst.

few more that had their moments
1) corrupted oozemancer (he brutally barraged my drake summoner)
2) a ziguranth summoner (I got killed by a minion, after I killed the boss...)
3) kidnapped merchant (hit him once, JUST ONCE and you will know why I hate him.)
4) escorts (they REALY want you to fail)

I second the Horned Horror in the maze. You can't hit and run because it heals like crazy, you can't snipe it because it can hit ranged or draw you close, you can't tank it because it dishes out absurd damage. Half the time you can't hit it because of status effects.

I mainly hate it because the maze is such an early and otherwise easy dungeon.

You forgot his Lightning Surge which allows him to avoid damage, and Invisibility, which he sneaks up on you with. So much hate.
