Although when we first think of dual wielding we tend to think of sword and dagger, in tome this is almost NEVER the option, why?
Because of double point investment in general talents. Using one big and one small requires to invest in weapons mastery and dagger mastery, thats 10 expensive points... i wish there was some other way to do it that would encourage more the use of a big weapon with a small one together.

When in trouble / or in doubt / run in circles / scream and shout.
Re: Complaining about dual wielding
1h and dagger is totally viable on Marauders and Temporal Wardens. While dagger artifacts tend to be stronger than 1h artifacts (namely Spelldrinker, Shantiz, and Mercy), 1h weapons deal much more damage and appear to have the same egos. Temporal Wardens definitely have the generic points to 5/5 both Weapon and Dagger Mastery, but Marauder has a bit more trouble. The only reason I could afford to 5/5 both masteries was because I got Draconic Will, allowing me to skip talents like Riot Born and Unflinching Resolve.
While merging the masteries is one solution, 1h (non-artifact) weapons are so much better than daggers that I'd even take 1h and dagger over two daggers on Rogues late game if it didn't require more points.

My wiki page, which contains a guide and resource compilation and class tier list.

temporal warden gets damage from weapon folding , but marauders dont, and yes, the generic talents for marauders are way too few, those 5 points are needed elsewhere.

It's working pretty well, and as a bonus it makes Flexible Combat extra sweet.
