Re: Beta test 1.0.6
My immortal poison ooze/husk army
Bugs:
- turning an ooze into a husk can turn it immortal. It will also keep spawning new oozes when hit.
- husks are treated similar to golems: you can give them escort rewards and you take control of them when you die but they don't selfdestruct.
Combine the two bugs and your game is broken.
-If you get a husk that spawns shadows, the shadows will appear friendly but they blindside you.
Exploit:
You can turn a strong rare or even an adventurer into a husk, take control of it and use it to safely scout or even clear a level. Find something with boneshield and the missing health regen will be no problem.

Re: Beta test 1.0.6
Using the Tier 3 Animus talent (the one that gives you a husk) appears to trigger the Tier 4 Animus talent (the one that empowers your spells in exchange for souls).

Re: Beta test 1.0.6
Hmm ... couldn't reproduce the bug. What happened on the previous try was that I used Purge Animus, immediately controlled the resulting husk, suicided it, and then found myself back in my test necromancer's body with the Tier 4 Animus buff active (the one that empowers your next X spells). I had cheat mode active, if that matters?
Edit: I think what happened was that the AI cast the talent while I was controlling the husk.

Animus purge
OK, starting in 1.0.6d, it seems that I can no longer make husks from rares. I'm not sure if this is a bug, or put in place to scale it down. I really liked being able to grab rares, that's kinda what makes the talent work IMHO. Might I suggest allowing rares, but making husks subject to the same LOS restrictions as golems, i.e. if you're out of sight of your main, direct control doesn't work. It seems to me that would fix the problem here:

Also, I'd rather have rares, but not be able to directly control husks at all, then not have my rares, just sayin'
without taking away the rares completely. Just my 2 centsPudels Kern wrote:

Re: Beta test 1.0.6
While Necros are under examination, could we get a simpler way of casting Sacrifice? Right now you need to summon minions, create a bone giant, and then cast Sacrifice. My suggestion would be a sustain that absorbs souls when it triggers (i.e. when you take more damage than Sacrifice would block).
Another possibility, which is closer to the current status quo, would be to have Sacrifice unusable when you have no Bone Giant AND Assemble is on cooldown, and have Sacrifice put Assemble on cooldown when used. That way you could use it without actually summoning minions or a Bone Giant. Since the current status quo provides the possibility of using Assemble while boosted by the Animus tree to summon two Bone Giants, then consuming one immediately and the other when Sacrifice ends and is off of cooldown, the Animus tree should also provide some kind of boost to Sacrifice if this second scenario is adopted. It could increase the duration of the Sacrifice buff, for example.
