Maybe this was something in the Angband code, but when T.O.M.E. was T.O.M.E. before the te4 engine, each of your items would show from who and where the item was dropped.
Can we have that back? One of the (second) best moments about playing perm-death is going over your items in the Character Dump and fondling recalling the fight against The Flying Foo on level 3 of the Muffin Factory and how he dropped your favorite Custard Filled Ring of Desiccation. Looking over your character and remembering you found a powerful artifact on the floor of an early dungeon, or seeing the horde of goodies you recovered from a very tough vault or boss fight adds incredible depth to the game.

You can see it in the text character dump, so the information is still preserved in the game somewhere.theharshax wrote:Maybe this was something in the Angband code, but when T.O.M.E. was T.O.M.E. before the te4 engine, each of your items would show from who and where the item was dropped.

I agree, this would be a nice function to have in-game...
And it was such a good idea...
