Play offline while connected

#1 Post by pdavey »

Is there a way to play the game in "offline" mode while being connected to the internet?

Thanks in advance!

Just log yourself out from the main menu before loading.

Thanks for the response. I just tried this, and while playing for awhile a message popped up stating I lost connection to the online server, then I re-established the connection. Was this a fluke, or does the game communicate with the online server even if you're not logged in? Basically, I want to be able to play the game at work during my lunch break, but don't want my pc pinging the server.

Block it with the firewall then, it's ports 2257 and 2258

You can also change the actual ping URL to localhost. You have to change the client.lua in the profile thread folder. (I may have the names wrong, but its something like that)

Find replace http://te4.org with localhost.

These files are not embedded in a zip or anything so you can easily find it.

Would be very useful to explicitly turn this off in modules.
