Thank you DarkGod, you're truly worthy of your name. I don't want to talk about the issues of digital sharing with eyepatch and wooden leg, but you're among a couple of game developers who actually managed to get any money out of me. Pay for the exploration mode, or your Mageblade gets it! :D

TOME is the best game I've seen in last years and it's the most modern, user-friendly and beautifully drawn roguelike ever. It truly saved me from a severe turn-based RPG drought.
I love its story and all the great humor, the greedy dwarves, cynical vampires, sadistic necromancers... I feel like the game is much more than I deserve, because I'm not a hardcore player and I like to save and load my game and can't explore all races and classes.

I just thought Id chime in and give my thanks for such a great game. I was hopelessly addicted to Nethack for many years (I beat it with 6 different classes) and decided recently that I wanted to get back into roguelikes. After some digging I discovered your game. 2 weeks later and I have played it nonstop from the moment I wake up until I go to bed. My family thinks Im crazy haha!

You have great gameplay, classes, lore, interface, graphics (for this type of game)... I have nothing buy praise. Seriously, if this game were on Steam for $5 nobody would ever mention Dungeons of Dredmor again! (note that DoD has won some awards and is half the game ToME is).

Thank you so much for helping to keep the genre alive!

DG, the game is truly amazing. Keep it up. I wanted to emphasize the things that make tome uniquely awesome, for me at least:

1) The way you make combat strategic and complex. It is complex not because there are tons of hotkeys or unidentified potions with unpredictable effects(the way most other roguelikes choose), but because of the way that you make every ability count. There are no minor and major abilities - when properly used, all of them can be major. And if you charge head-on, you will most definitely be killed even by creatures far lower level than you.

2) Almost no consumables/cooldown-based mechanics. Makes you forget digging through heaps of potions, makes battles more tactical.

3) Buff visuals. Well, I'm not sure if it's ok, but it's probably the most important point for me. There were only few games that have informative and well-looking effect visualization system. Only baldur's gate 1/2/tob come to mind and maybe neverwinter nights 2. Most other games usually either have too few simultaneous effects or the effects are too minor to visualize and/or they have just stacks of buff icons near character portraits which is apparently lame and unsatisfying. I absolutely adore multiple spherical shield visuals especially those which come with b42, combined with bone shield, a few offensive particle effects it makes the character(friend or foe) look formidable!

4) Unlockables. I love the way you have the very basic characters/races from the start and unlock more complex ones by completing challenges. The best thing is that no character is stronger than the other - some are just more complex to play than the others, and they have different playstyles.

Keep it up!

Just found the game a few days ago, and not terribly experienced with roguelikes, but I have been happily hooked from the get-go! Thank you DG, for all your hard work on the wonderful gift that is ToME.

Yeah man it's amazing! :)

Gotta say it, 'cos it's not said enough!

Tome kicks butt!

It's wonderful how after a fun session you can go and check from te4.org how much your total playing time has gone up.
I just laugh out loud sometimes! to have spent days in this epic, fun and well-created world...
Or to curse to a friend who has never played the game, "I died! Have to start again with Tome. And I will!"
They'd be like "?" :D

Been playing this game for a while now. And I just can't stop. I want to stop, not because I dislike the game, but man...there are other games...right???

WRONG! ToME has totally captivated me. I love the combat and the way that (almost) every class makes the game feel totally fresh and new. Hell, just picking different talent lines inside of certain classes can make the game feel totally new! Every time I start it up and make a new character, I know I am gana have to totally rethink how I play, what I value, and how I get things done. It's always both fun and stimulating, and I just can't stay away.

So thank you, DarkGod. This game is simply amazing.

I also feel like I should thank you for making such a great game. I'm a gamer who fell out of love with gaming years ago. I did not like the direction newer games were taking. I discovered this gem on reddit last week and I've already invested about 60 hours and a lot of deaths into it, but you know what? I'm having fun and that's something I struggle to find with most games in the last decade. So thanks for the great game and additional thanks as I've been suffering a great deal from stress lately and it's helped relax and get my mind off worrying thoughts.

ToME is absolutely the most fun roguelike I've ever played.

Though my characters life expectancy is rather hideous to behold, I always come back, no matter how often i ragequit

Thank you DarkGod!

You have created an awesome game through which my characters experience all manner of horrible fates.
