Help please the game will not recognize keyboard input.

I finally got the game to load up and when i go to type in my account information nothing comes up. The game wont receive any input from my keyboard.

anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

What version and operating system are you using? Has the game ever recognized input? Is this only an issue on the login screen?

hate to necro a thread, but Im experiencing the same problem. I am using XP, it only happens on the login part of the game. In game controls work fine, if anyone has any idea please let me know. the only idea I've had is it could be because I am using a usb keyboard, but I don't know why that would make a difference.

By any chance are you using multiple languages on your PC -- particularly ones with non-Western character sets?

If I accidentally toggle my language input to Japanese during a game, the keyboard becomes unusable. To fix the problem, I just hit enter a few times to finalize the input of whatever invisible text I accidentally typed. Then when I toggle languages again, all is well.

Just one possiblility.

Don't know if it helps but make sure the mouse cursor is over the input field. I've noticed on mine that if it moves off it while typing the field blanks out and won't take anymore characters until I move it back over.

I'm having the same issue as well.

I'm running Windows 7 on a 1920 x 1200 resolution. The game starts in an off centre, windowed state. After maximising the window, clicking on the menu buttons doesn't seem to work. When I click in the input field, I see the text cursor, but typing anything doesn't seem give any response. I managed to get around the problem by using the keyboard up/down keys and tab to navigate the menu and login dialog.

It doesn't happen to me now though, since the game logs in for me automatically.

If anyone else isn't able to log in because of this, try copy/pasting your username and password in. I was able to get in that way, and the game itself works OK.
