There should be a death montage in the video.. Complete with the DUN dun sound. It worked for games like God Hand and Dark Souls.

Also some unlockable overpowered uber races like balrog, dimensional being would
kill the game. no thanks.

no, imagine how epic it would be. and it would only be available after the player had already unlocked all other classes and beaten the game. at least this way they have a fighting chance in insane difficulty, which is impossible at the moment without hacking or taking advantage of some sort of glitch.
or heck, give it to donators only.

Or better yet leave that silliness to addons. Folks want to make and distribute a cheat race or class, more power to 'em, but it probably shouldn't be part of the official game.

Insane isn't balanced yet  I don't think it'll get much attention until balance is at a comfortable place with the regular difficulties. For th'time being, it's mostly a "use at your own risk" kind of thing, heh. That and a thing to throw classes at and see what's broken on the overpowered end. If something can survive insane, it probably needs a nerf somewhere

Well...

If the game gets on Steam Greenlight and Darkgod makes a million dollars off of it... or better yet a few million off of it, I'm sure we can expect many new races, classes, and tons of fun stuff :D

As it is, new races and classes are being added to the game at a reasonable rate. But everyone that contributes has a real life they have to attend too as well ;)

So for now, yeah, add-ons are a great way for people to contribute. And I know Darkgod considers add-ons for inclusion into the main game.

So how's the game doing? Stats are hidden from the public now.

There's a new site you might want to check called IndieCity:

http://blog.indiecity.com/?page_id=2

Cardinal Quest and Pitman Krumb (both roguelikes) are on there with high ratings: http://store.indiecity.com/games?tag[]=role-playing

They have a competition on right now for the nicest looking page to be featured on Rock Paper Shotgun:

Deadline 5th October - quite tight, but it would be a nice reward.

"Your item is 41% of the way to making the top 100 list "

They say to me :)

I have no time to get the 5th deadline but I'll look into the other one.

Oh dear, the prodding stick :/ Is there a way to delete FTL off my computer? I feel that might improve my productivity...

Ppheew... I think I have managed to pull out something like a dozen or two votes for the project in the greenlight from russian game developers community. But srsly, a lot of new people complain that there's still no gameplay video.

Those who buy it on Steam will be considered "donators", and get all of those bonuses (name colour in chat, exploration mode, custom tiles).

As for price, there hasn't been any word, but I'm guessing around the same as what is in the dialogue by default ($10 IIRC)
