Hi
I'm new to ToME and currently playing a Cornac Bulwark.
I chose the Premonition skill after completing the injured seer escort quest, unsure if I'd be able to use it since it costs 204 mana. Seems to work no problem, and although I now have a mana pool of 188, or 68 without Premonition up, these numbers don't add up. As far as I can tell, I shouldn't be able to use it.
Could anyone please explain to a noob how this works?
Thanks!
Mana for non-magic users?

Mana costs vary depending on Fatigue, which changes with what armour you were.

Thanks for the reply.
Hmm well I got that... but even if the mana cost of 204 is the modified cost with Fatigue (my Fatigue is 42%), I still seem to be paying well under to activate Premonition.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. Mana cost for Premonition was like 140 and mana pool was like 120 but I could still activate Prem.
Re: Mana for non-magic users?
Mana Sustains display their cost with Fatigue factored in, but do not in fact use fatigue for their cost. Premonition always uses 120 mana, but you have a displayed value of over 200 because of your fatigue rating. (120 mana * (1.00 + 2 * 0.40 fatigue) = 216 mana)

Ah ok cheers.
So is that only for mana sustains then?

Re: Mana for non-magic users?
I believe that it is for all sustained talents, not just mana ones, but I'm not confident about that.
