Dropped my Rod of Recall somewhere!

I've got a very promising skeleton archer going. Just finished Daikara and I realized that I don't have my rod of recall anymore. I have no idea where I might have left it.

Am I hosed? I'm not opposed to file diving if I have to, but searches of the game and profile directories haven't turned up any kind of record of what got left where in any readable format.

Did you use the Crystal Focus? There is a known bug which removes the Rod if you do...

If you dropped it then do be aware that all is not lost.

Some dungeons have exits on the bottom level
All dungeons are shallow

Which means that going down and back up is not really a problem. It just takes a bit longer...

Oh boy. I did indeed use the Crystal Focus. So is there any way to get it back?

I don't know.

It is possible that it was properly removed from your inventory, in which case there is a chance you will be able to pick it up again.

I'm guessing so perhaps one of the Devs will know!

You might try killing a boss, it might drop, I did not test that.

There is one method, go into cheat mode, add the rod, exit cheat mode.
press ctrl+A after doing this:

and create an item called rod of recall (in the list)

I killed Rantha since using the Crystal Focus and it didn't drop. The cheat console worked perfectly, though. Thanks!

Yup.
My first thought was: "I can't recall where I put my Rod of Recall-"
Then I went through Five of the Seven stages of grief before remembering the opinions of my fellow Adventurers are only a few 'klicks' away.
The Darkgod giveth and the Darkgod taketh away...(looks at sky and rolls eyballs.)
