Disable gray-out on stealth?

#1 Post by efr33t »

While I like the idea of graying things out when activating stealth, it makes it much harder to play the game (e.g., identifying monsters, items, etc.). Is there any way to turn this off? Would be great to have a toggle or something. Thanks!

You can disable framebuffers in the Video Options in the main menu, but this also disables some other effects (e.g. confusion and red color with low health).

Would be nice if it were simply reduced somewhat.

Thanks, that worked!

I agree that it would be nice to just have a slightly grayed-out version to indicate stealth if possible.

Maybe keep only the gray 3x3 square around you, everything else stays colored. But I support a change in this, the game loses a lot of its eyecandy when stealthed.

I stopped playing with rogues because I found this to be visually difficult to deal with (in addition to not-as-pretty).
