Dwarven warriors started following me around

Dwarven warriors started following me around
I've got a level 13 character, and I've only currently doing two quests right now (farmer maggot's and melinda's), excluding the main quest, of course, so it kinda weirded me out when two dwarven warriors came out of the blue and started following me around in Bree. Has this ever happened to anybody? Also, Fumblefingers followed me out of a dungeon, which he doesn't usually do. What would make him do that?
Re: Dwarven warriors started following me around
I've never even seen a "dwarven warrior" creature type before. As for Fumblefingers, I always take the skill option instead of the companion option, and in fact have never played with companions, so I don't know what their expected behavior is for.
You might try opening the pets menu ('P') or the general information menu ('~') and see if there's any information on pets/companions there.

Wait, so I get skill points if I say no? Man, that would've been so much more useful than him following me around!
Re: Dwarven warriors started following me around
Yeah, he'll offer you a list of four randomly-chosen skills (that exclude several skills like boulder-throwing, stealing, most of the magic skills, etc.), and you'll either get three points' worth in that skill (if you already have it), or you'll get 1 point and your multiplier will be increased (if it's not already more than .5).
Basically, never let Fumblefingers follow you around. The skillpoints are always more useful, unless you're in a really insane situation.
