How to go about a music pack?
Hello! I have a set of songs that I believe would fit perfectly in ToME. Stuff from older RPG's that has been remixed or lifted directly out of older video games ( http://ocremix.org , http://khavi.org , and http://woodus.com are wonderful resources). I'd like to release the pack, but I'm not sure how to do it without over-writing the default ToME songs! Is this possible?

But if this turns out to be needed it aint hard for me to add, so go wild

[tome] joylove: You can't just release an expansion like one would release a Kraken XD

Awesome
I'm going to include the music with beta4 of oldrpg so you can get a feel for what I'm thinking! I'll throw some other goodies (UI, desktop icon) in a bonus folder, and a separate zip with just the tiles if anyone doesn't want to overwrite anything. Thanks for all the support man!

I did something like that because I can't stand to hear the same music over and over again if it's too short. But with copyrighted music (more or less), so I can't share :-/. Perhaps a thing to set songs directly on the game would be useful, but I think it doesn't looks a priority. So few sound efffects has the game anyway

I also think a music folder which is auto played is a grand idea.
Simple setting could be...
1. Random song selection vs Alphabetical
2. Volume of music vs game sound effects
3. Fade time between songs
4. Random play volume (obeying maximum volume settings)
5. Combat/special music interrupting when necessary whatever songs are user added.
Heck, if it's not terribly difficult one could have music folders for :
-Dungeon
-World map
-Forests
-Towns
My 2 cents
