I just built from SVN revision 1247 and one thing that I noticed that feels off about the right-click talents is that you don't know when a talent will actually hit an enemy. For example, something can be in LOS but not able to hit unless you back the beam off a few tiles. Actually this strikes me as odd, that you have a ray to see the tile but cannot directly hit it unless the attack is a beam. Maybe that behavior needs to change?
An additional check would be to check range before a talent shows up... right-clicking something well out of melee range and still seeing shield pummel is a bit odd.

Maybe on mouseover of ranged abilities like flame and lightning, you see the path the projectile/beam will take?
