Re: Chronomancer Icons
Paradox Mage's are getting close and I could use Icons again. Some of these have old icons but, frankly, I did most of them and you guys do better work than I do
But if you guys' are pressed for time the tree I need the most is spellbinding.
Energy
Energy Absorption - Sustain. Reduces damage you receive from attacks. Reduce spellcooldowns when the maximum amount is absorbed.
Energy Drain - Puts enemy spells on cooldown and powers your own. Deals temporal damage for each talent put on cooldown.
Redux - The next spell you cast within the next five turns does not go on cooldown when you cast it.
Entropy - Targets in a radius have their timed effects tick twice as fast and take damage based on the number of timed effects hit.
Gravity
Repulsion Blast - Knocks back targets in a cone. Targets knocked into walls or other actors take additional damage.
Gravity Spike - Pulls in targets in a ball. Deals more damage the more targets are pulled.
Gravity Locus - Sustain. Surround yourself with a gravity field that slows incoming projectiles, protects you from gravity effects, and wraps targets that hit you in an antigravity field (50% knockback reduction, small amount of physical damage on melee hit).
Gravity Well - AoE map effect. Slows movement speed and deals physical damage over its duration.
Paradox
Paradox Bolt - Pull a bolt of paradox back through time. The bolt will home in on your location and deal damage to targets it passes through.
Cease to Exist - Attempt to remove a target from the timeline. Reducing resistances. If you kill it before the effect expires you return ot the point in time you cast the spell and the target is killed.
Paradox Twin - Pull your future self into the fight. The two of you split damage you receive between each other (chronotwins the spell basically).
Paradox Mastery - Gives you more control over your paradox, increasing your willpower modifier for anomaly checks.
Timeline Threading
Rethread - A beam that deals temporal damage. Reduce paradox per target hit.
Temporal Clone - Clone any target for X turns. Higher ranked targets will have a duration penalty. Clone has life and damage penalties.
Shear - A cone that deals temporal damage and reduces paradox per target killed. Casting this spell on targets that have trim threads active will cause the remaining trim damage to be done instantly.
Temporal Fugue - Teleport to the target location. Instead of you coming out though it's a bunch of temporal phantoms that deal greatly reduced damage and have greatly reduced life.
Spellbinding
Empower - Sustain. Increases your spellpower when casting target chronomancy spell.
Extension - Sustain. Increases the duration of target chronomancy spell.
Matrix - Sustain. Reduces the cooldown of target chronomancy spell.
Quicken - Sustain. Reduces the casting time of target chronomancy spell.
That's it for now. I do have two more trees in the works but I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do with them yet. If someone wants to take another stab at the Timetravel tree I wouldn't mind that either. I appreciate the work that was done on those icons but I don't know how well grey and pink really work together. Especially in contrast with the rest of the talent icons.

Re: Chronomancer Icons
Okay, Gravity next.
Okay, this one's a bit experimental. Tell me if you prefer it with these icons but with more standard blending, or the something with the old icons (Repulsion Field's should even work for Gravity Locus).

Re: Chronomancer Icons
I had to redo wormhole as I moved it to spacetime folding. It's looking pretty ugly though if anyone wants to try to make a better version.

Re: Chronomancer Icons
The whole tree is kinda ugly and I'd like to give it makeover. What talent does it replace?

Re: Chronomancer Icons
Here I'll just list what I have now.
Spacetime Folding
Warp Mines
Warp Mine Toward (I kinda like both of these)
Warp Mine Away
Temporal Wake
Wormhole
Dimensional Anchor
Spacetime Weaving
Dimensional Step
Banish
Swap
Dimensional Shift
Here's a couple of screenshots.

Re: Chronomancer Icons
Seeing it in place, it's not so bad. I even like the Wormhole icon, even if it doesn't look very much like a wormhole (whatever those look like). I dislike that Temporal Wake looks more like Temporal Amble and Dimensional Anchor didn't get enough color.
The Seal Fate icon looks asymmetrical to me and is driving me increasingly bonkers - and the whole tree turned out a bit too grey with hindsight. The Spacetime Weaving tree is a bit too colorful and saturated for my taste. Do you want it that way or is that just a thing that happened?
EDIT: Where's the black-and-white version of wormhole anyway? I'm having trouble removing the colors cleanly from your icon...

Re: Chronomancer Icons
When Darkgod first introduced icons I banged out probably a hundred of them over the course of a week between brawlers, tws, pms, and anomalies.
I don't know what my intention was aside from get it done.
I'm really not attached to any of them and would be fine with better looking replacements.
I do kinda like Fate-Weaving though but if you want to take another shot at it feel free

Re: Chronomancer Icons
It's mainly the Seal Fate icon that's bothering me, and I think I might make the purple a touch more... purple.edge2054 wrote:I do kinda like Fate-Weaving though but if you want to take another shot at it feel free
Anyway, I here's 3 alternative versions for Wormhole:

A fast-looking Temporal Wake and a slightly improved Dimensional Anchor

Slightly improved warp mines, also a second version of the Warp Mine Toward, since I've found I'm prone to confusing them:

Re: Chronomancer Icons
Slightly more purple Fate Weaving, with 5 options for Seal Fate:

And for the last icon, in order of how much I like them (pretty close for the top 3 though):
Eclipse (snuff out your foe's light)
Triple Lock (it's a seal right? a seal that looks cool)
Grim Reaper (obviously)
Tombstone (also kind of a seal, goes well with the spider and webs)
Life in Balance (because you're kinda the judge and executioner? It's an interesting icon, not sure about how well it fits here)
Improved Spacetime Weaving (with suggested alternates for Banish and Swap):

Re: Chronomancer Icons
Okay, my take on time travel.
First the same icons with different coloring:

Alternate Time Skip:
(would free up the current Time Skip icon for Echoes, which it would fit pretty well too)
Alternate Temporal Reprieve:

Alternate Echoes from the Past:

(middle one would work for Damage Smearing, too, I guess)
Alternate Damage Smearing:

Also did a take on Temporal Hounds:

I like the wolf head better, but the hound arguably is ... a hound.
