You rock, Edge. Thanks!

Edit: FYI, Chrome gives an "appears malicious" warning when downloading the exe. Don't know why.

this is my build, edge is kind enough to post it here cause im lazy : ), its compiled same as in http://te4.org/wiki/howtocompile-windows (which i wrote : ) ), if it has any malicious software im not aware of it (ive downloaded it and compared its same file) ive uptodate AV and scan compuer at regular basis, but still viruses are quite sophisticated entities now so im not saying im 105% sure, if your AV notify about some shady things in this file please post it here

(and yes chrome gives same warning to me)

Chrome and my AV software both flag it as suspicious. Which they do for any executable file that's not rated as trusted as far as I know.

EDIT: for people like myself who are itching for some sweet b43 goodness, here are the instructions Edge gave me in IRC:
edge2054 https://gitorious.org/te4/te4/commits/master
23:33 edge2054 Click the download as tar link
23:33 edge2054 Extract that
23:33 edge2054 Comment out that line in engine/map
23:34 edge2054 Copy your dlls and exe from b42
"That line" is self._map:setImportant(x, y, false)
Thanks for this so much. This was *so* much easier than compiling on Windows. I eventually just gave up on that.

Note: if you already checked out the public SVN with the guest account, all you have to do is copy the b42 exe and dlls into the root folder of the svn.

Hey guys,

any chance to get a precompiled t-engine.exe file which is up to date with the current changes in the svn?
edit: lol, I didn't saw, this thread has a second page, linked the first one in my web browser. Last version of the exe file is 18.09, quite new i guess :)

Cheers.

A Windows .exe compiled using revision 5721 or later would be much appreciated!

Still trying to get Windows compilation on my end. Not exactly easy.

Edit: Thanks, Graziel!

I can't wait for the new version. Apparently it is going to be out-goddamn-standing. It's been quite a while since b42 was released, any b43 release date estimations? Please?

Borderlands 2: not bad, completed 2 difficulty levels with two characters each in a week. Dishonored - short, shallow, far too easy on max difficulty. Took me a day and a half. XCOM : Enemy Unknown - too similar to the original. Completed in two days on pre-max difficulty. FTL - completed in three days. Not that bad.

All this while patiently waiting for b43 =( Now srsly, is it going out any time soon or should I shut the hell up and go test a nightly build? This game is by far the best out of those, no kiddin.

I'd definitely recommend not waiting for the b43 release.

Since b43 will be the last beta to include new features and content, I don't mind if it takes months to be released!

Oh well, thanks for the info. I think I'll try to compile current revision then. Though I'm a bit disappointed.

Suslik continues to contribute dumbness to the thread. Can anyone please compile the latest revision under windows? I don't have necessary libs under win and don't trust my mint13 enough play tome4 under it ^_^
