I think Reknor especially needs a boost in challenge, to make the player fully aware of some of the difficulties to come. It generally feels *easy* after Dreadfell. It has no vaults, few difficult enemies, and though the open spaces can be a nuisance they're generally manageable. The final battle is pretty easy too - I rarely even notice the boss.
