I really love this. I like that the gods are petty and filled with human flaws and faults rather then good or evil.

I like that the Sher'Tul managed to forge a lasting alliance up until there goal was accomplished and then wiped themselves out again because of very human flaws and faults.

I love that the 'bad guys' aren't evil just flawed.

Great stuff.

And... half-dwarven slaves!! We need half-dwarven slaves!!! And crossbow wielding halflings (slings are for kids).

I like that, this is going in the direction I was going for the world creation and the sher'tul :)
Obviously I can not just dump that onto players but it'll help write bits of lore to connect the dots. This all happens during the age of haze too, of which the knowledge is lost to the younger races, so this can only be found in sher'tul ruins or through myths.

Very nice thanks!

Oh and Arwen is not a hobbit lol ;) The human/halfling alliance puts an end to thousands of years of mistrust/outright wars between the two races (which are the major races).

As for gandalf with breasts .. lol... Linaniil is my usual mage character in any game I play, she's been with me for many years and she decided to settle in :)

Yeah, yeah - I'm still picturing Aragorn in bed with Frodo wearing a blonde wig... ;-)

I'd happily write some short lore pieces if I had some context to put them in.

Umm, wow, awesome Grey. Really great. You need drama and hierarchy and a huge structure, and this gives it all. Great.

Wonderful back story there. I'd just make one change: instead of having all the gods slain, some should escape. More than just Ulmo-analogue and Melkor-analogue.

If the Sher'Tul don't know they've escaped, that's even better, because then you don't have to change any of the events or motivations. The Sher'Tul think they've killed 'em all, so they imprison the big guy, then wipe themselves out (except a few hermits or whatever).

This gives you openings later if you need a god to appear and do something.

I was thinking that those godslayers would be the perfect big-daddy endgame artefacts :)

the Staff of Absorption gained godslayer status :)

As for the other weapons .. I have my ideas, you'll have to wait (probably a long time it' s long term idea :) )

If lore becomes extensive one possibility is libraries or scroll collections like in the Baldur's Gate series. There were libraries at various points in the game were those interested could read many and long scrolls dealing with many aspects of the world (geography, history, flora, culture, fauna, and so on). Completely optional for those not interested.

Yeah that's mostly the idea.

Lore, as well as NPC interraction aspects of the game are bonuses for people that want them, people that jsut want to smash things can just press "dont bother me" :)
