Problem registering mod

Hello, I've read the wiki on uploading mods and I can't seem to figure it out. I can do everything up until the step that says 'register your mod'. When the menu pops up in game for me, it's blank, and I can't seem to figure out why. Can I get some help?

When you say "mod" you mean "addon" right? because its either that, or module, and module seems a bit ambitious.

Yes I do mean an addon that I put together.

and by "register your addon", you mean, put on the server right?
if the mod is working, i believe i heard someone say it needs to not be compressed, that's how it registers it as ready to upload?

i will try to help you as much as i can, but for anything concrete you need to wait for someone who has actually done it.

Yes, the part I'm having trouble with is when you bring up the Addon Developer menu and click 'Register new Addon', the menu that comes up is blank. I tried putting it in the Addon folder uncompressed and compressed, but still the menu is blank. Nothing to register apparently.

Is the addon in folder format?

Ah! It works! Thank you! I was overthinking the problem and putting the zipped files into a folder, not the unzipped files. Gah, I feel stupid now. Again, thank you for your assistance.
