confuse resist?

#1 Post by saberson »

Hiya,

I am getting further down the barrows and I came across the things that confuse me and hit quite hard.......(Umber hulks) , Im about lvl 11/12 at the momment. Where can I get confuse resists? Is it just a matter of grinding the barows until some mob there drops confuse resist gear? further more if I put points into mind spell school will that give me a resist to confuse? At curent based on my interpretation with what Ive read I just want to say pump skill points into magic, spell power , sorceror and some stealth fo sorceror, is this right?

Confusion resistance is not easy to get early unless you get lucky with a princess quest. Chaos resistance also gives confusion resistance, but the way. Carry potions of cure critical wounds (you can buy them in town) to cure confusion and blindness. Try to avoid meleeing with umber hulks- they are very dangerous for low level characters.

If you are playing a sorceror you should try to avoid letting anything hit you, ever. Cast detect monsters frequently so you know where things are and blast everything to bits from across the room.

As a sorceror, I put my skill points into Sorcery, Spell Power, and Magic in that order. After those are maxed out it really doesn't matter where you put them. At first I try to get books of Noxious Cloud, Disarm, Identify, and Vision to go with Beginners Cantrips. Save up your money- the tomes with all the spells of a given school show up in the black market occasionally.

Thanks for your help Yottle; you have also just answered another question I was thinking of asking pertaining to books, as It stands I will look for them in the shop as havent had any book drops yet.

Since I went a dark elf I am very impressed with the sorceror

cheers!

If you get lucky you will find a dungeon market with a book store. Tomes are much cheaper there.

Havent seen one of thos Yet yottle but Im about lvl 19 so Im thinking of comming out the barrows and trying to do that level 3 dog quest and maybe saving then see how well I do in the wilderness

I am doing so much better but even with detect monsters spell I sometimes get caught unaware and with 0 armour well its not good hehe. I am in the process of identifying stuff by selling it but Im gutted since I sold something that turned out to be worth 3k , that being said I am trying to get things identified sooner rather than later. (Stilll havent seen any of those books you mentioned yet but I am saving up so its fine :) )

Buy identify scrolls. Identify anything a princess gives you. There are also shops in some of the towns (not Bree) that will identify all your pack for you.
