Changing Gods

#1 Post by budswell »

Once again I forgot that its stupid to worship Melkor as an elf.
Is there anyway to change your god, the temples don't seem to work.

If not, is there any downside to playing as an athiest and getting VERY negative piety?

Get anti-magic from butterfingers (what I call fumble-fingers, the guy who can't keep hold of his sword). And then pray at an altar in lothlorien. Though be noted, you will have to start the prayer modifier over.

It's normal for Melkor to be remarkably unimpressed at the start, if e.g. trudging around the Barrow Downs, and does no awful damage - then can be fixed by spending time in somewhere stuffed with orcs (Orc Caves) or orcs and trolls (Moria) and indulging your bloodlust with abandon. If you should happen upon a pit of priests, of course, that'll see you sitting at his right hand in no time at all.

Melkor will abandon you if you destroy the One Ring. Of course that isn't all that easy to accomplish.

I think it's easier to just start a new character.
