Where do you like to gain stats?

Your character has made it to level 30, finished Eol, Uvatha, and cleared mirkwood of spiders, but stats haven't been maxed yet with potions.

Where do you like to hunt for potions?

My latest favorite if I have telepathy is to go up and down stairs in the Maze looking for Dark Elf Warlocks. A pack of them can be found in less than a minute and they usually drop at least one stat potion. There are plenty of corners to lure them around, so they don't all blast your character at once.

IIRC The sandhole is a good place for stat potions.

yeah, I do the maze as well... I find it easier than the sandhole, which I normally skip every single game (I cant recall a single instance where I went into it for at least 2 years)

I don't scum for potions. After the orc cave I just do
- Sandhole
- Mirkwood
- Maze
- Moria

Usually most of my stats are maxed before I "finish" (i.e. die near the bottom of) moria. I had one summonner who did the sea of Rhun before Moria, found a bunch of potions there too. But I don't like the open space levels, so have not been there with any other char (open space is easy with a summonner, your hordes just sweep from side to side).

I remember finding a fountain of augmentation in Erebor once. Of course I had all my stats maxed by that time so it wasn't useful at all.

I look for a potion shop in a dungeon market level, usually after completing the Orc Cave special level. Generally I can start stealing once I buy a few dexterity potions.

If I can't find one then I will fountain scum in Moria for augmentation.

If my hp and damage are high enough I will go ahead and dive and pick up stat potions as I see them. Occasionally I have won without maxed stats.

The bottom of Dol Guldur is a good place for high level potions- when I need ! of experience that is where I normally hang out.
