Alchemists... can basically sit around in town and churn money, then shopscum.
for example, a buddy suggested Essence-extracting Wands of Noxious Cloud then making a pile of Venomous Daggers... however... I found it even more efficient and fast to buy Scrolls of Light, yank the Essences of Light out, and then make Torches of Fearlessness... 2500+ gp a pop for 23 gp or so investment. Wow.
So I am richer than Morgoth, assuming I can stand to repeatedly extract and power ad infinitum.
is this considered a balance problem, or a feature??! just curious. I am enjoying it from a pure munchkiny standpoint .. and I suppose the crappy melee ability of the Alchemist balances this a tad, but ... what are you folks' opinions on this?
And please, I like the class, we could fix it without NERFing it TOO hard, right? just not so much a geometric return on the investment ?? Or has it been made consensus that "money eventually doesn't matter" due to later-game piles of loot?
Later,
Darklight
Maybe this has been noted before, but....
