I have a ent swordmaster who was haplessly wandering through the trees on lvl 9 of the barrowdowns when a dragon appeared and burned all the trees around me, which I apparently can't walk through. Is there any way that I might be able to get out?

Probably. The only chance you would have is for an umber hulk or rock mole to dig through to attack you, but that is pretty unlikely.
