I noticed that if you try to power an artifact with things that need items that apply to more than one thing (ie. invisibility and see invisible, fire immunity and aura, lightning immunity and aura) that if you dont supply 2 of them (it wont give you any error messages, unlike using less for pval things) that it would make all your items that you used say no more foo (where foo is the object) and not do anything to the artifact you were making.

to get your back you need to put everything in a house and it becomes 1 of it then.

iirc, this is something new that happened in either 2.3.5 or the cvs version of 2.3.5. (I am using the cvs version). 2.3.4 worked fine (I think) with alchemists.

this is just for people who were wondering... I was going to ask a question, but then I figured it out for myself.

note to self:

save a file outside of the save directory, just in case... (not to save scum, but to revert if this problem occurs

note to others:

gah, just lost 17 rings of str and con, 19 rings of int, adornment, 19 soft boots, filthy rags, lanterns, sigh... why... I had everything?

I think there may be a problem with curse or self cursing or cant be dropped while cursed.

I hate to use wizard mode as all I would be doing is giving me stuff I already had... this is just making me waste time making stuff all over again.

I tried doing stuff to crash the program without saving (to revert to the old save, which wasnt long ago, but nooo, didnt work :evil:

of course this is an experimental class, but still.

There's another rare one for alchemists. When you are browsing recipes, it's possible to get stuck on "Page 2" with the return to Page 1 not working, such that all you can do is browse e.g. recipes with Lightning in them until Mandos gets fed up waiting for you - not sure what triggers it, maybe is a mismatch of 'to next page' and 'to previous page' code when there's exactly a pagefull (or that +1) of recipes under a given heading.

the other way out of yours is to simply quit and restart the game... via the close button not the in game way... it will save it so you will be where you started browsing, but out of the menu.
