You are on dlvl 10 in Barrow Ends and you have your backpack stuffed with excellent and good things. You have no scrolls of recall/ home travel/ what are they called. What do you do?

I'm considering killing myself.

Wear the good equipment and excellent items that are safe (i.e. armor).

Climb up up up. Ignore stuff in the ground and enemies.

I suggest using the small setting levels too

Do you see any downstairs? sometimes those are generated (e.g. princess quest), and would be worth taking in your circumstance.

Othwerwise, just head up- 10 levels aren't really that bad and you may find a scroll in the meantime. If you've made it to BD 10 the levels will become rediculously easy by the time you get close to the surface.

pay attention to your light fuel if you don't have permanent light.
One of your excellent items might provide light as well.

You can always find more treasure, don't let greed get in the way of basic survival. If it is a choice between carrying fuel/food/healing or an excellent item. You might just have to leave the item on the ground.

It's not. I play Orc Vamp Demonologist and I don't need either light, nor food, nor hp potions at the moment. And I found everburning torch.

I wanna know, why I'm invisible...

well its either:
a) something you are wearing
b) something you ate/drank
c) an ability or item you activated
d) a spell you cast

If it doesn't go away in a reasonable amount of time it is something you are wearing. a scroll of *Identify* will let you know all about an item.

Thanks to this thread, I decided to start another dwarf demonologist character. Did the Bree house quest, then diving relatively quickly through BD (I set 49 quests, so one every other level). BD 10, I'm trying to track down some energy hounds for a FF quest, step on a Trap of No Return (no detect yet). I'd already lost my food to a careless encounter with a j. Looks like I'm heading back up the hard way, dining on lovely orc chunks til I either find a WoR scroll or make it back up to DL 1. Hope my light holds out- I've found a couple of half-filled lanterns already.
