Hello, I'm not sure where to post it, but when I start the game I'm getting a screen that looks like this:
http://a.imagehost.org/view/0511/TOME_bug
Is there any cure for that? I'm using windows Vista, feel free to ask for other specifications.[/url]
Don't know if it's a bug...

I am pretty sure it is lib/pref that you change the file.
do you guys think I should put up a download from the ToME site for a font-win.prf that works for vista?
if so should I put it in a package (easily downloadable) or a script (just a copy paste)
I dont know why I didnt think of doing this before :/

Yeah, posted something about that over here: http://angband.oook.cz/forum/showthread.php?t=1153

I remember, back in the day, getting into a downright vicious argument in IRC about the term "high ascii". Tha was before it more or less died, though. =/
Basically Vista does not support high ascii characters (characters over ascii code 127) in TOME. Instead, it shows blanks. This includes a lot of the fancy "graphics" TOME and other Roguelikes use. There's probably a fix (somehow changing the codepage, for example) but I've found it's easier to just change to X11's ASCII file instead.
To do this, you just go into the lib/pref folder and rename the font-win file to font-win old, and copy the font-x11 over to font-win.
You'll get something like this:
