Character looks

#1 Post by Quain »

I personally always imagine a certain character with features like a high-elf=tall, silver haired, light figure, and rolling for this takes quite some time...

Would you like to have an autoroller for this just like for stat points?

I don't mind that kind of stuff. I do mind things like gender, though, and if the hair color bothers you, you can edit the character history.

In particular, I am completely unable to look at the height and weight numbers and judge if I happen to be tall or short, thin or fat, so I ignore them. I'm not going to take up a calculator and my book of constants and formulas for that kind of thing. Stupid outdated Imperial measurements...

To my mind, it would be rather usesless, couse it is now implemented in some way. Even though I like if my Trollish Haftedmaster has > 100 height and > 300 weight, I can still roll up another one whith possibly other stats if I don't like it. I would mind if that involved some changes to the gameplay, for instance bonuses to stats or sth like that.

I usually don't care about it, until this...

My skeletal High-Elf was only 2 foot 4, and weighed 177lbs.

d'Ablo brought up a good point. I don't really care about height/weight/hair, but if they affected gameplay, I surely would!

Still, then... I've got you beat, Burb Lulls, though it wasn't a birth height. Due to an unfortunate combination of TV distraction and disarming attempts while "running", one of my Wood-Elf characters ended up 13 inches tall!!!

I'll see your midget Wood-Elf, and raise you one 100ft RohanKnight (One abused trap and one abused horse as well  )

Still, I can't beleive the guy weigh 177lbs. It's just bones! I say 'guy', another thing that happened to 'him/her/it' is switching from male, to female, to neutrality in a very short space of time.

Surely switching gender should *ahem* *cough* affect :D your sanity.

LOL!!! That's great. (Or not great, depending on your POV.) Yep... Cirad's been around the gender-bender roller coaster a few times, too, much to her great disgruntlement. Fortunately she's back to being a "She", though. It took me an unbelievably long time to find the proper trap!

This reminds me of Cartman saying he's not fat, but big boned :P

I think Burb means his charachter was, um, born with absurd height and weight.

Nevertheless I think i'll implement this, if I'll have enough time...

BTW: Will 2.3.0 bring percentage resistances?
BTW2: I'm thinking about making skill develop with use, not with "level gaining"
BTW3: no more BTWs :D

No, only 3.0.0 has percentile resistances.
