I have two winners with ToME 1 and another two with ToME 2.

The ToME 1 winner are one Sorcerer and one Black-Knight; the easiest way to win ToME 1 I believe.

My both ToME 2 winners are very experimental but still very powerfull.
My first winner was a Troll Swordmaster getting every corruption that is possible including Demon-realm and worshipping Melkor. No fun for poor little monsters.
My 2nd ToME 2 winner is a Ent Loremaster with Barehanded Combat and possessing a dragonbody (GWoP).

The next project is a Barehanded Loremaster possessing only Hydrabodies. ( Even though I am a little bit disappointed because a 11-headed Hydra can only wear 2 helmet :? ) I took several attemps for me to make it as a dragon so I will be busy with that for the next weeks.
One game to rule them all, one game to find them
One game to bring them all and at the keyboard bind them

Wow. I don't feel like quiet such a big loser now. I have a big fat 0 wins but I see 55% of the people who have responded thus far are in the same boat. I currently have my first level 50 character (High Elf Monk) and have a good feeling. So far, everything has been a walk in the park but I have been very careful. This is the first character where I run away or heal before I get below 1/2 my hitpoints. I plan on continuing my careful ways, keeping multiple means of escape and a way to summon help.

Other than that, I'll keep my fingers crossed (the ones that aren't on the keyboard). I've finished Dol Guldur and I'm movin' on. That's all I'm saying because this isn't spoilers.

From my point of people who havn't won yet have more fun with the game. As soon as I had won the first time I have lost some very special feeling about the game. I was very proud about the win, but the biggest goal was reached and what comes next? You can only repeat what you have allready done, although if you do it in other way it is not the same. You know you will never forget your first love ;)

I voted 1-2, because of my winner in ToME, look here
However, I won ADOM dozens of times. I'm not counting it cause it's way too easy comparing to ToME.
Pbrrt...
I love all those onomatopoeias scattered all over the games...

I have zero wins, I actually haven't even come close to winning. My best characters were Ninjas in Hengband, I think I got a few of them to levels in the 30s. I almost always lose to deathswords, oh I hate them. I like to play mages and bards a lot so most of my characters get killed before level 10. I get pretty excited if I get a character all the way through the barrow downs in ToME.

It really counts on how you count a win. I've won twice in ToME, both times as a Geomancer (once for the contest), but only one of the two actually beat Melkor.

In both cases, though, I was abusing summoning, and I need to get an "honest" win in there somehow. Sorcerors and me don't seem to be a good mix, though, and I prefer mage types.

Minor correction: I won Pern 5 not ToME 1.

Funny storry on the mistake: I used to remember correctly that it was Pern 5, but then one day when I was digging around ~/.tome/winners, I found a character sheet of my winner that said ToME 1.0.0

What must have happened is that after winning I took a break, later I installed ToME 1, and when I started that it loaded that old pern 5 game. So I saved the sheet before retiring, and the seet said ToME 1.

I guess I should grab the sheet from google and get Pav to fix it on the ladder.
