I'm playing Theme on 2.35 with a sorcerer.
Just had a vault on level 60 of Barad Dur, which contained Ancalagon the Black. Whilst my character is 'very lucky' I've not had a haul like this before. I wonder what the RNG has in store for me next!

I have been playing a Tome DeathMold possessor the last few days. Yesterday I got Eol's body and the Helm of Knowledge so I jumped to level 69 of the Paths of the Dead to get some good companions. I summoned a bunch of demons and headed out to clear the level with the rock-borers opening up things behind me. There was a big empty space when Ji Indur Dawndeath showed up.
That started a massive chain summoning battle. Once he was down low enough I killed him but then he got summoned again as well as Hoarmurath and a Pit Demon. I summoned demons until I was low on mana, tp'ed away to regenerate, tp'ed back, etc. When we finally finished them all off I had over 100 demon pets and had gained five experience levels. The loot was scattered over half the level.

One of the artifact armors was triple immunity (acid/electricity/cold) which pairs nicely with Flare and means I can use Anarion instead of Thorin to sustain all stats. There was also the Star of Elendil and one of the artifact gauntlets I didn't need and didn't *ID* so they don't show up on the list.

Amazing! I love Theme. I miss the game tremendously.

I remember that whenever I found the Amulet of Life and Death (or something like that), my sorcerers would cruise to the end. And yet still the game was fun.

Can I ask, is there an easy way to download 2.3.5 (or whatever your functionally playing) with Theme, for Mac? I have CrossOver, etc., so maybe I can do an exe?

I have been playing online at Angband.live. It has Tome 2.3.6-ah and has both the Theme and Fury modules as well.

I have tried everything on Angband.live, to no avail, so I went ahead and made a bottle and am running tome.exe under CrossOver. It seems to be working well on the surface. There may be some file problems: eg it can’t ever find my macros upon stopping and starting the program. I wonder if this means there are other files it can’t find. But for now working great.

Macros are erased on exiting Tome unless you have saved them using the @ menu.

I am using @ 2 return, but alas I think that using CrossOver in a bottle futzes with the location of saved files.
