Hey Fury, I really like it as a mod. It's just my opinion, but after some tough ToMEing, I like to just zip over to my Golem Mutant Berzerker and hack through the same tough levels I just died in. I like having it all wrapped up here in the ToME forums too. It's great to compare and watch the module...

Oh yeah, forgot about the stairs!!! First time I played a *band, I thought it was some unbelievable twist of fate that I had a staircase back up from level one right where I came down. I HATE HAGGLING!!!!!!!!!!! I remember finding (HA) weapons and just about bursting with glee. Ah, and digging for m...

Yeah, I had Moria on my Apple II GS. Played for weeks, every night after school, losing probably 1000's of characters. I did win a few times finally. will say that ALL of the modern-day derivatives of Moria are EXTREMELY easy in comparison. I think I always ran Rangers for the "warrior-mage&quo...

Ah, Moria. Yes, it was quite the difficult one, wasn't it? Those stupid AMHD with their UNRESISTED poison breath. Could ruin a good 40th level char with one bad move.

I actually found Z to be tough to start. could never escape things in the wilderness. But, once you're levelled, it didn't seem that hard. Rods stack, and by end game, you're just scouring the level with acid balls.

I'm shooting for the 10000000 EXP mark before I post. I'm already around 9, so it shouldn't be long. I'd also like to round out some of my equipment. Soon enough though!

Hey Fury, I don't really think it's necessary to start with any. One of the most complicated parts of the game is skill point rationing, as far as I'm concerned. I'm running one of your Anicient Spider Masters right now, having a blast! I'm clvl50, mopping up the floor with 'Z's in the new dungeon y...

Sure, it would make things infinitely easier, but wouldn't you think that the first time you picked up a bow and arrow you'd have a tough time killing someone with it? The lack of ability to hit, I think, teaches early players to be careful and plan their attacks, as they may not be successful and w...

So we'll just say that there is a secrect automatizer that destroys anything that won't fit the current character. I guess characters must be smart enough to sort out the artifacts, and tuck and pull a few stitches/rivets/loops here and there to make them fit. BTW... I like the idea of finding a Tro...

I didn't say the armor fit WELL, just that it was on them. I'm gonna guess that ToME armor has little spandex panels so it's kind of a one-size-fits-all... tight on trolls, floppy on hobbits, doesn't really fit anyone right.

Didn't Samwise and Frodo cross the whole orc camp wearing orc armor? Wasn't Bilbo's mithril shirt originally made for a dwarf?
