 I hit submit instead of add poll option when I got to level 90, and then once I'd fininished adding the other options (level 100, winner and *winner*) the forum complained there were too many poll options so I cancelled it... let's just pretend that there are three more poll options. Dungeon ...

How far have you gotten in ToME?
Rounding down.
NB. Spending three turns in Angband to summon a pet mold or similiar doesn't count.

Re: How long have you played ToME without winning?
I've played ToME for maybe six or seven months total, and I've been close to winning several times, though I haven't actually won yet. And this is WITH a couple of years of playing (and winning Nethack 6 times) other roguelikes. Whoa! 2 years and 6 ascensions! 6 monts and several close wins! You mu...

How long have you played ToME without winning?
Hey, why not. If you HAVE won, pick however long it took you before you did win. Myself, I've played ToME for maybe six or seven months total, and I've been close to winning several times, though I haven't actually won yet. And this is WITH a couple of years of playing (and winning Nethack 6 times) ...

I've never won ToME yet... but when I do (yes when, not if :) ) I probably wont take many turns. I find killing hoards of easy monsters to level up or search for good artefacts really, really boring, so I'm always going in WAY over my head to keep myself interesting. Amazingly enough, usually I can ...

Without FF quests to get access to mimicry and symbiosis, I really don't know what a sorceror would do with 250 skill points. Just do what all my sorcerors do, and dump points into spirituality or necromancy. Necromancy helps recover hit points easily (absorb soul or whatever it's called) and gives...

Re: specific skill points
I would rather have the skill points. Someone else on here had a quote, if a monster can kill you with 1000 hp, it can probably kill you with 2000 hp also. That was me! :D I voted for skill points a specific area for a few reasons. First of all most possession rewards (weapons, armour, gold etc.) b...

The Human Pirate. (Who's not in the poll, btw.) I don't think anyone's DitL'd a human before. Forgot to include him, whoops. A chose human because no other races seemed to fit (a balrog pirate? ) and because Humans get an extra skill point a level compared to other races in my mod (7 ...

what would be the most entertaining for a DiTL
I've been thinking of writing a DiTL for one of my new race/classes in ToME and 1/2 mod, but not sure which. I've got a few test character going, so I figurred I'd just ask which ones would be most entertaining for you. The characters are: Galmderad the Great-eagle blessed Ascetic. Using barehand co...

Melkor rules!
Vote #1 Melkor! What is there not to love about him? Curse is great for everyone, warriors especially with auto-casting, Udun is fantastic for mages, fire immunity is nothing to sneeze at either. Piety is pretty easy to come by by mid-game, except maybe for a rogue using traps as offence (which woul...
