When I saw the films, I was annoyed by how much emphasis was put on Aragorn & Arwen. But then I re-read the books, and realised that it was actually quite a major part of the book as well. In fact you could say (as someone else said somewhere else) that, at least before he recieves Anduril, mos...

ToME should be marketed to a larger crowd. This is a great game. I dream of the day where great tiles are going to be introduced. I can have a Great Life, a Great Girlfriend, a Great Job, Great Projects, and still have fun playing ToME once in a while .... :-) Thanks for reading ! ;-) www.alexandre...

part of it (though certainly not the entire picture) is that the extremely high cool factor of some of the stuff alchemists can do leads to an illusion, from the stories about them, that they'r much easier than they actually are, leading many to shun them without giving them a chance. personally, i ...

I don't think that's necessarily the case at all. Tolkien never mentions that the ringwraiths are invincible and come back after you've killed them. Killing the ringwraith in no way necessitates the destruction of a ring. i think gandalf said something to that effect, about them being tied to their...

IIRC the Witch-King was said to die because both Eowyn and Merry weren't mortal men (but a woman and hobbit). But I wondered recently whether he died truly or was just banished for some time, as when the Nazgul were flooded. the blow initially discorporated him, which is still being killed for the ...

@Logrus: By Occams Razor and classical logics the simplest hypothesis is that there is afterlife (something "after life"), meaning that something outlasts death and that this "something" is governed by laws just like life is. Saying that there are gods, that the gods create the ...

just to voice a philosophical counterpoint: what's to say that adherents of different religions don't end up in different afterlives? for that matter, most religions claim a basic form of this: the claim that "people who believe what we believe will end up in heaven, and those people believing ...

*nod* i never found it to be that bad. hitting the symbol in question doesn't break anything, it just fails to do anything at all. still, including it in docs is probably a good idea. some people might just always use the letters, and might not even realise that there is a cursor there to arrow arou...

symbol keys show up as labels on those race names, but they don't work. dark maia (demons, not sure why the rename), for example, are labeled:

Code: Select all

{) dark maia
but pressing { won't get you one, you have to actually go down to it via arrows.

To improve the chance of women going to see it. so they don't do the inverse, then, because - sufficiently improves the chance of men seeing romantic comedies? problem is, they'r trying to tack on a new audience segment that's gonna have a very low rate of attendance whatever they do, at the cost o...

If you don't like the thing because it got too boring or the acting being sub-par, perfectly fine and valid. If you don't like it because of Bombadil being left out, Gandalf's robes being the wrong shade of grey or Arwen actually existing  ; these points could have added to the movie, but ...

About 15 years. Played Moria for a while. Discovered Angband. Played a long time. Then I saw the light and was introduced to ToME, 3 years ago (?). I had my first and only win with an Ent Monk last fall. I haven't played since then, even if I am tempted by "Theme". I never was a regular. ...
