I feel unrepresented by the choices for this poll ... I've boykotted the movies after hearing about the plot changes and then seeing the trailers (that really cemented the decision !!!) ... e.g. the bad persiflage of 'Braveheart' in the RoTK movie trailer that most of you might still remember ... Sadly, zero wins so far (if you don't count wins by cheating or in wizard mode ... and I don't) ... but I could regularily get a character to CL 50 and down below 4000' in Z or Vanilla, and it seems I haven't really lost this ability now in ToME ... and perhaps I'll get one of those chars to survive...

I usually choose gender for my chars depending on the image I have in mind of them ... at least beginning gender ... - I've not yet had one character in ToME that survived for more than a few levels and not had gender changed, despite taking care to detect traps ... For me, addiction to *bands comes in cycles ... About every 6 months to 2 years, I check out all the new variants and changes, and usually one of those is interesting enough to get my hooked again for some months of playing ... after this time (and much dying ... :( ) I usually turn away from *bands...

Generally it sounds like a good idea, BUT ... I won't list all the possible things that could go wrong with such a venture ... you'd open up the forums to the whole universe of human interaction ... and this can easily get out of hand.
