*takes a bow* My pleasure  I'm actually very suprised I haven't found this before now, because game design and theory is a hobby of mine. A couple years back I had a science fair project in which I made a computer program that can beat humans at rock-paper-sciccors ( http://web.tampabay.rr.com/...

I'm not sure about the comment on Simulationists getting bored with the game due to lack of graphics. My sim set is right up there in my head. Though I am a very visual person, I'm not *hugely* visual about this game. I play with ASCII, not tiles, and while I sometimes do visualize the beasties, I ...

GNS Theory in regards to ToME
Anyone ever heard about GNS theory? Its pretty neat theory for why people play RPG games. I think it is VERY interesting. Here is the wikipedia site for it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNS_Theory And here is a more in depth site. I recommend reading parts 1-3 to understand what I’m talking about: h...

What I like about the class that MM quickly made (looks great) is that it's got more HP than the normal necro. (Rogues have bigger hit die than mages) I'm playing a necro, and I have just more than 100 HP at level 15, and I die so easily to monsters that curse me. :( I'v always loved the necromance...

I could go on for a long while about the changes they made and pointing out with each one how it was a critical aspect to the story and how it totally ruined the plot and tarnished forever the LoTR story........but whenever I fell a need to criticize the movie I remember this quote by Peter Jackson:...

Currently I am playing Soul Calibur II(GC) , though I used to play Super Smash Bros: Melee until I became so good it wasn't even fun (even went to a few tournaments). Um.....The only game I plan on getting is Metroid prime 2, beat the first one on hard. Occasionly I download games from gamehippo for...

This one would spice up the mind school: (needs better name) Mind Control (Mind 35(40?)) This spell alows you to control the mind of another, temporalily making them co-aligned. The power increases with level, as well as the duration(never very long). The amount of monsters you can control at once a...

what do you mean Makkoan ? Traps wouldn't be nearly as dangerous. I never run into traps that I havn't detected, usualy I carelessly run into traps that I have detected. If the game asked you before you went to step on a trap, I'd never step on a trap being as I *always* detect traps. This would ma...
